Description Shayô (斜陽) - Setting sun Paper size: 39.3 x 27.2 cm. Number 11 from an edition of 100 (verso, see detail 1). Carved and printed by the artist. Inside the image (bottom left): “Taisho juni, Takashi saku” (Taisho 12 – 1923). This print is extensively discussed in the Yamanishi Prefectural Museum of Art catalogue from 1997, p. 8 plate 7. Watanabe Shôzaburô commented on this print on March 11 1923 – see afore-mentioned catalogue p. 45. Extremely rare, and a very interesting meeting of Shin Hanga and Sôsaku Hanga.
