Description
Yukata ki no onna - Woman dressed in yukata Paper size: 16.4 x 19.3 cm This print is part of the 2nd Kitsutsuki hangash� - Woodpecker print collection. There were two sets of those, of 20 each, made by different artists and self-printed and self-carved in an edition of 100. They were published from Un'ichi Hiratsuka's house in 1942 and 1943. Illustrated in Modern Japanese Prints: The Twentieth Century, The Carnegie Museum of Art, 2009, p. 135.
Condition
Very good impression and condition: some toning. This print has been removed from the very low-quality cardboard backing sheet.
