Description Reclining nude Paper size: 37.9 x 26.5 cm. Self-printed, probably between 1910 and 1920. Signed (carved in the block) Gorô in Kanji and Tsuruta in Romaji. This print is completely unrecorded, so dating it is problematic. As it is printed on thin, short-fibred paper, not the best choice for a woodblock print, my guess is that this print is from the period when he was still experimenting with the woodblock medium. Added is a picture of a preparatory sketch - unknown provenance. Very rare indeed !
