Description
Engei shashin jô 演芸写真帖, "Photo kabuki magazine" The November 1925 issue of this magazine for kabuki lovers. On the cover a lithograph by Kawase Hasui (with use of gold). Inside two lithographs, one by Itô Shinsui (see detail 1). In addition there are 7 pages with colour photographs, and 20 pages with b/w photographs, giving an amazing overview of the kabuki world of 1925.
Condition
The cover printed with use of gold - the rest of the magazine shows signs of having been read very often: the four holes right show that it was bound together with other issues at one point. So not in perfect condition, but very collectible.
