Description
Yokugo no bijin (浴後の美人) Beauty after bath Paper size: 18.1 x 39.2 cm.Dated by the Japanese dealer “Taishô-goro” (circa Taisho period). An extremely rare print by a virtually unknown print artist. The painting that preceded the woodblock print had the title “Hot spring inn” (温泉のやど) and was exhibited at the 8th Bunten (第8回文部省美術展覧会出品作品) it is now in the collection of the Tokyo National Museum.
Condition
Fine impression and colours, good condition: some light insect damage just above the balustrade, and a few other places remnants of backing paper verso.
