Description
Saint, published in 1950 as part of the sixth First Thursday Collection (Ichimokush?). Size: 27.3 x 20.2 cm. Two red seals: below left "Kôji" in Kanji, right a stylized "K", perhaps in keeping with the medieval subject matter.
Condition
Fine impression and condition (at the top corners tipped to a sheet of thin beige paper) According to Helen Merritt, The First Thursday Collection (Ichimokushû) was published between 1944-1950 as six self-carved, self-printed sets in editions of 100 by Ichimokukai under the direction of Onchi Kôshirô.
