Description Poster Poster (woodblock printed in two halves) announcing the 8th woodblock print exhibition (第十版画展), organized by the Nihon Hanga Kyôkai (日本版画協会) in 1939. Paper size: 36 x 78 cm. Works by two artists are highlighted (3rd and 4th column from the left): Minami Kunzô (1883-1950), one of the founding fathers of Sosaku Hanga, and Tomimoto Kenkichi (1886-1963). The exhibition was sponsored by Lion Toothpaste ( ライオン齒磨).

Condition Fine impression and colours, good condition (printed on two separate sheets of paper, joined in the middle), uneven top margin. Ex Sekino Jun'ichirô family collection.
