Description Portrait of the poet Hagiwara Sakutarô Paper size: 43.7 x 56.1 cm. After Onchi's death in 1955 the Onchi family commissioned Hirai Kôichi to make an unlimited edition from the original blocks. They chose him as he was one of the best (if not the best) printer of the period. The print was originally printed by Onchi in 1943 in an edition of two copies. After the war he made five more copies and in 1949 a limited edition of 50 copies was made by his star-pupil Sekino Jun'ichirô (1914-1988).

Condition Fine impression, colours and condition: printed on thicker paper than the Sekino edition of 1949.
