Meisho Jûnikei - Twelve Views of Famous Places Complete set of 12 shikishiban prints (paper size: 27.9 x 27 cm), each in its original mat, together in a linen box, number 151 from an edition of 200, published by Takahashi Shinjirô and signed by Kawase Fumiko, the artist's daughter. This series was originally published by Katô Junji in 1935, and this edition from 1988 was printed from the original blocks.
Condition
Fine impression, colours and condition - in mint condition. The series is illustrated in the Big Hasui Book, plates 372-383. Together with the set comes a high-quality fitted wooden frame, with a mat, so that the 12 prints can be rotated and displayed regularly. The photographs are of the prints in their mats, detail 2 shows one of them outside the mat (though the bluish tinge is due to insufficient light - the paper is very white!).
