Description An evening shower アレタ立に Paper size: 38 x 50.1 cm. Published by Tanseisha in 1960s. According to JAODB (Japanese Art Open Database) this print was published in an edition of only 82. The print is based upon one of the most famous paintings of Seihō Takeuchi, generally referred to as Oh Rain from 1909. Carver: Monju Reizo, Printer: Nakai Isamu, Tsuji Nisaburo.

Condition Fine impression, colours. Meticulous and sumptuous printing with gold on the fan (with a reference to Hiroshige). A few spots, see details 1 and 2. Tipped to its original mat.
