Description Composition No. 2 Paper size: 28.1 x 39.2 cm. Also known as Still-life - Characters. Variously dated 1947, 1948 and 1949. This is the Hirai memorial edition, printed in the late 1950s, after Onchi's death. During his life Onchi printed several (and different) editions of this design. Especially the vertical black line is in different places. Hirai (who printed several of Onchi's designs after his death) composed a print combining the different editions.
