Description Abstract Paper size: 50 x 92 cm. Signed "Gen Yamaguchi" inside the image (see detail1), and dated 1961 in the bottom margin. No edition number, which is typical for the very first impressions Yamaguchi Gen made. Certainly one of the better works from this period. The grey background has been printed with great sensitivity. Possibly a monotype as I have not found any other impression of this work, at any rate decidedly rare.

Condition Fine impression and colours, very good condition: in several places in the margin the paper thinned in the process of printing. The paper had been moistened prior to printing, thus weakening it. These places have been professionally reinforced, and cannot (and should not) be considered condition issues.
