Description
Asagiri - Morning mist Poetry and prints juxtaposed in two volumes. Published in 1912, complete in its cardboard box. Generally considered one of the best and most exciting books published in the early 20th century. Highly Original and varied. Extensively discussed, in Jack Hillier's The Art of the Japanese Book a.o.Some 70 illustrations with fitting poems on the opposing pages.
Condition
Fine impressions and colours, very good condition: a very fresh set with only a few condition issues: on the 70 single-page illustrations no more than 10 are (very) lightly foxed a few binding threads are loose, and the small cardboard box shows some signs of wear.To protect the two volumes, I have used the pictures of a previous set: the set offered now is in better condition than the photographs suggest.
