Description Bando Mitsugoro IX as Domo Mata (Mata the stutterer) in Keisei Hangonkô, 1st scene of the third act. First edition numbered A.P. (Artist's Proof). Title, role, name of carver and printer in the right margin, date in the left margin. Matahei is an artist of the Tosa school, hence the brush in his hand. He would like to use the Tosa name and meet with Tosa Mitsunobu. At first, Mitsunobu favors other artists, but when he sees the dedication of his disciple, he relents and agrees.
