Paper size 39.5 x 47 cm
Edition Date 1936
Description Tainan kôbyô sokubon (台南孔廟側門) Side gate of the Confucian shrine in Tainan (Taiwan) Paper size: 39.5 x 47 cm. The blocks were carved by Onchi in 1936, and he made a very limited number of impressions. After the war Sekino Jun'ichirô made between 10 and 20 impressions from the same blocks. He stamped the print verso (see detail 2).
Condition Fine impression and colours, good/very good condition: the top margin verso shows signs of a previous mounting (or mountings): some thinning and a few creases. For the rest this impression by Sekino comes remarkably close to the impressions Onchi made before the war.
