Description Shibaura 芝うら from the series 12 views of Tokyo 東京十二景. Originally published in 1914-1917, this is a 1970 re-edition published by Ishu Kankokai under supervision of Narazaki Muneshige. Originally planned to encompass twelve designs, the artist Ishii Hakutei discontinued the series after nine prints, most likely due to its unpopularity. The first two designs, Yoshicho and Yanagibashi were published by Gallery Rōkandō (Takamura Kōtarō) in 1910. The remaining seven designs including this one, were published by Nakajima Jūtarō of Yanagiya Shoten in 1915-1917.
