Description Seated nude with vase of flowers 36.8 x 46.7 cm. The basis of this woodblock print is a 1920 painting by Henri Matisse (1869-1954). The woodblock artist has translated Matisse's brushstrokes into the woodblock medium, and the result is spectacular. My estimate is that this print was produced ca. 1940-50.
Condition Fine impression and colours, very good condition: some light creasing in places.
