Description
Poster Poster (woodblock printed) announcing the 9th woodblock print exhibition (第十版画展), organized by the Nihon Hanga Kyôkai (日本版画協會) between 13-20 December 1940. Paper size: 38.8 x 52.5 cm. Apart from location and duration some patriottic phrases are in the bottom right half. Signed "Pan" in the bottom right corner of the mountain. The exhibition was sponsored by Lion Toothpaste ( ライオン齒磨).
Condition
Fine impression and colours, fair/good condition, considering the fact that a poster like this was actually used to advertize the exhibition margins are partly frayed a few creases reinforced. Iron strip plus textile loop at the top, showing that this poster was not pasted on a surface, but was hung from a nail.
