Description sumi and colours on paper. Highly interesting small album, containing 9 double-paged drawings on thick paper. All drawings are signed and/or sealed, and all signatures are of well-known 19th century painters, e.g. Matsumura Goshun, his younger brother Matsumura Keibun, the latter's pupil Yokoyama Seiki, and 6 others. Still, no attempt has been made to forge the signatures, which are clearly not original. Probably this album was meant as a kind of booklet giving an overview of 19th century painting.

Condition very good silk brocade covers.
