Description Eikoku Taishikan Mae (英国大使館前) - Vicinity of the British Embassy Paper size: 26.7 x 20.8 cm. Number 3 from an edition of 50, published by Nakajima Jûtarô in March 1930, as part of the series One Hundred Views of New Tokyo - Shin Tokyo hyakkei. With the original folder (detail 1) showing the title slip of the series plus a red stamp giving the title of the print. On the print red stamp: Kôshirô jizuri (self-printed) bottom left. Shin Tokyo hyakkei is undoubtedly the best pre-war series of Sôsaku Hanga, with contributions by the ten leading artists of the period.

Condition Fine impression, colours and condition the folder shows some foxing and browning, but the print itself is unaffected, apart from some tiny specks of foxing in the margins.RARE
