Description
Nihon no Shiro - Castles of Japan Album containing 12 double-page illustrations of Japanese castles. Size of the album: 20.5 x 28.5 cm. Publication date: 10-6-1944. Apart from the twelve two-page prints there are 13 pp. of text and two woodblock-printed colophons, which indicate that the prints were designed and carved by Hashimoto Okiie, and printed by Yoko Giichi. Publisher: Katô Hanga Kenkyûshu (Kato print research institute).
Condition
Very good overall condition, especially considering the mediocre quality of paper at the end of WWII. There is some foxing of the endpapers and colophon, but the prints themselves are practically unaffected.
