Gembaku no ato (Hiroshima) (原 爆 の 跡 (廣 島 )) Atomic bomb ruins (Hiroshima) Paper size: 28.2 x 23.7 cm. Dated: August 6th 1945. Titled and dated in ink top margin. Signed "K. Asai" (carved in the block), and two seals "Asai" and "Kiyoshi". Print information on a separate label verso (see detail). Top margin "6-4" in pencil, possibly indicating number 4 from an edition of 6.
Condition
Fine impression, colours and condition. This very rare print shows the well-known "Gembaku Dome", still the symbol of the devastation caused by the explosion of the first atomic bomb.
