Hiromitsu Takahashi's parents were printers for Yoshitoshi Mori, and it stands to reason that that must have played a part when he chose to follow his footsteps. In 1981 he graduated from Nihon University, and unlike Yoshitoshi Mori he concentrates on subjects from the Kabuki theatre. His editions are small and his work is instantly recognizable.
