Yamaguchi Hôshun (1893-1971)

Yamaguchi Hôshun is primarily known as a painter. He graduated at the Tokyô School of Fine Arts in both Japanese-style and Western-style painting. He exhibited paintings at the Teiten, Inten and Nitten. In the 1920's and 1930's a limited number of woodblock prints were published. In 1965 he received the order of Cultural Merit.
