Takeda Takeo was born in Tokyo in 1913. After graduating at Tokyo University he studied printmaking with Kitaoka Fumio and Ono Tadashige. From 1953 he started exhibiting his prints. He was an associate member of the Nihon Hanga Kyôkai from 1954-1970.
