Only the first part of Noda's life is covered by the literature: we know he was born in Tokyo, and that he studied Japanese-style painting with Terazaki Kôgyô (1866-1919). He exhibited paintings at the Bunten. He worked for the Asahi Shinbun in Osaka and he contributed to Hanshin Meisho zue - Pictures of Famous Places in Osaka and Kobe in 1916. In 1917 he returned to Tokyo.
