Nemoto Kagai (1899-1975)
Originally a painter, Nemoto Kagai learned woodblock carving and printing from Maekawa Senpan as a hobby. From 1935 to 1954 he exhibited with the Nihon Hanga Kyôkai. He concentrated on prints of flowers, birds and insects (kacho-e).
