Masanori Katsuyama is a real Kyoto artist: he was born in Kyoto, and in 1974 he won a prize in the Kansai Art Exhibition. He has had many one-man exhibitions and has participated in group exhibitions, again mainly in the Kyoto area.
Much of his work is in black and white, and in the many intermediate grey-tones.
