Hirakawa Seizô was one of the first group of Sôsaku Hanga artists: from 1920 he exhibited with the Nihon Sôsaku-Hanga Kyôkai, and he became a member of that group in 1928. He contributed prints to HANGA and to Han Geijutsu. He was a versatile artist who made many different types of prints.
