Asami Kôjô was born near Kobe in 1890 and studied painting with Nishiyama Suisho in Kyoto. He moved to Nagoya in 1912 and established his studio. He participated in several official exhibitions. In 1931-1932, he produced 12 prints inspired by the months of the year in his native home of Nagoya.
