Biography Tsukamoto, Tetsu (1901 - 1980)

Tetsu Tsukamoto can best be described as a part-time hanga artist. He was a professor of sociology, and also worked as a consultant to the Japanese government and the television industry. He was taught moku-hanga by Kanenori Suwa (who died as early as 1932). He was a member of the Nihon Hanga Ky˘kai, and contributed to the two print series Kitsutsuki hangashű in 1942 and 1943, and to three of the print sets published by the First Thursday Society (Ichimokushű).
