Biography Ôiwa, Chûichi (1891 - ?)

Ôiwa Chûichi was born in Aichi Prefecture, where he is known to have remained the main part of his life. He was an elementary school principal, actively involved in art education in his Prefecture. He was a member of the Nihon Hanga Kyôkai from 1932-1953. He contributed a design to the Shin Nihon Hyakkei - 100 Views of New Japan in 1939.
