Description Triptych showing an as yet unidentified scene from Japan's turbulent history. Published in 1883, when Gekkô was only 24 years old.

Condition Fine impression and colours, good condition: some very minor defects, nothing serious. Unbacked, loose & full-size sheets. A wonderful and rare early work by Gekko, in a period in his career when he had not yet developed his own unmistakable style, but was apparently a close follower of Tsukioka Yoshitoshi.
