Description Poster Poster (woodblock printed in two halves) announcing the 8th woodblock print exhibition (第十版画展), organized by the Nihon Hanga Kyôkai (日本版画協会) in 1939. Paper size: 36 x 78 cm. Works by two artists are highlighted (3rd and 4th column from the left): Minami Kunzô (1883-1950), one of the founding fathers of Sosaku Hanga, and Tomimoto Kenkichi (1886-1963). The exhibition was sponsored by Lion Toothpaste ( ライオン齒磨).

Condition Fine impression and colours, fair/good considering the fact that a poster like this was actually used to advertize the exhibition carefully restored: the top margin is restored, a small area above the advertisement has been backed a few other minor condition issues.
