Orochon girl, from the portfolio New Territories Souvenirs, published in 1917. Paper size: 26 x 39 cm. Shown is a Russian woman in traditional dress on the island of Sakhalin.
Condition
Fine impression and colours (blindprinting), very good condition (a smudge lower left) the background is printed with white pigment, the border is the colour of the paper. Illustrated in the 2002 Kochi Museum of Art catalogue accompanying a retrospective exhibition of the work of Ishikawa Toraji, who also contributed a print to this portfolio
