Description Melancholy (失題), paper size: 19.5 x 26 cm, self-printed in 1914. From the magazine Tsukubae, a joint effort of Onchi Kôshirô, Fujimori Shizuo and Tanaka Kiyokichi. See Helen Merritt's Modern Japanese Woodblock Prints, the Early Years, pp. 179-185, in which she points (a.o.) at the influences of both William Blake and Edvard Munch on this design, which is on the cover of the Japanese catalogue raisonné of his work.
Condition Fine impression and colours, very good condition: a full-size sheet, with minor foxing in the margins. VERY RARE
