Description Hotaru (螢) - Fireflies Paper size: 19.7 x 19.9 cm. From Set 1 of the First Thursday Collection (Ichimokushû), published in September 1944. Self-carved and self-printed in an edition of 100. Because the first set was printed in the last year of the war many prints have been destroyed, and prints from this set are rarest.

Condition Fine impression and colours, good/very good condition: a few light foxing spots in the margins and verso, amply compensated by the very elaborate and subtle printing.
