Description The greedy woman leaving the three sparrows illustrated is the famous folk-tale "The tongue-cut sparrow" (Shitakiri suzume). The basket she has chosen will turn out to be full of monsters. ôban diptych from the series: Sketches by Yoshitoshi (Yoshitoshi manga), published by Kobayashi in 1886.
Condition Very good impression and colours, good condition: the two sheets are joined and backed.
