Description colours on silk. It is difficult to photograph the many thin washes used by Seitei to give an impression of a carp under the water surface. The small white flowers are a very typical Seitei touch.

Condition Chûberi (middle part) of light-blue&silver silk brocade (water pattern), top and bottom of blue-green silk, grey&gold ichimonji and futai (gold shells). Ivory rollers, titled and dated double box, with an authentication by his son. Very good overall condition.
