Hashimoto, Okiie (1899 - 1993)

Paper size: 45.2 x 36.5 cm. Dated 1937. Signed, titled and dated in pencil in the bottom border. "Hashimoto Okiie saku (= printed)" impressed in the right-hand border.
This print was made in 1937, shortly after Okiie Hashimoto had followed a course with Un'ichi Hiratsuka, who was his senior by only four years. Hiratsuka's influence is clearly visible in this early work.

Fine impression and colours, very good condition.
Pre-war prints by Okiie Hashimoto are relatively rare.
