Paper size: 44.5 x 32 cm. Number 3/20, self-printed in 1952. This edition predates the one in the catalogue raisonné of his work by two years. Print details in pencil in the bottom margin. What we see is a wisp of smoke emerging from the top of Mount Aso, one of Japan’s best-known volcanoes.
