Idō, Masao (1945 - 2016)
Green temple
Paper size: 29 x 36.5 cm. Self-printed in 1974. Titled and dated in sumi; name in Kanji bottom right (highly unusual for Ido Masao's work). This is a rōketsuzome (ろうけつ染め - batik print), a technique mainly used for textile dying, and practically never used for prints.

Fine impression, colours and condition: Crinkled, toned paper, the result of the unusual printing technique.
