Sakamoto, Hanjirō (1882 - 1969)
Ichikawa Komazō VIII (市川高麗蔵) as Anewa Heiji (姉輪平次) in the play Genpei Sakigake Tsutsuji (源平魁躑躅), performed at the Teikoku Gekijō, Tokyo, on September 1st 1911. Part of the series Sōga Butai Sugata (草画舞台姿) (blocks carved by Yamamoto Kanae), made for members of the Tōkyō Hanga Kurabu Hakkō (東京版画倶楽部發行). Both Yamamoto Kanae and Sakamoto Hanjirō contributed six designs to this series. Paper size: 20.8 x 27.9 cm.
