Hiratsuka, Un'ichi (1895 - 1997)

Paper size: 22.3 x 31.2 cm. Originally part of a portfolio of 10 prints by different artists, Shi to hanga sha saku shu - Collection of woodblock prints and poems, published in 1925. Other contributors were Fujimori Shizuo, Yamaguchi Susumu and Sumio Kawakami (a.o.). This is a self-printed copy, number 5 from 9. Edition numbers say little where Hiratsuka is concerned, however: he was deliberately erratic when numbering his prints.
