Onchi, Kōshirō (1891 - 1955)

Paper size: 21.5 x 27 cm. Possibly a design for a calendar sheet. In blindprinting (bottom right): 孝 (kō), the first character of his given name, plus "1929". Underneath four weaker blindprinted figures, 19**, the last possibly a 9. This work is very much in line with other work Onchi did in this period, e.g. his series "Study of the Human Body". See also pp. 106-107 in the 2016 Onchi Kōshirō exhibition catalogue of the Tokyo National Museum of Modern Art.
