Oda, Kazuma (1881 - 1956)
SurugadaiPaper size: 36.8 x 26.2 cm. Depicted is Nikoraido (Nicholas' house), the Cathedral of the Holy Resurrection, built on Surugada Hill, Tokyo's highest place, between 1884 and 1891 under the supervision of Josiah Conder. Its nickname refers to its founder and first bishop, Nicholas Kasatkin. Published before the great earthquake of Sept. 1st 1923. Oblong seal reading Kazuma (かずま) bottom right. Oda Kazuma also depicted the same cathedral in a lithograph in 1916.

Fine impression, colours and condition. Light creasing in the margins. Rare, as are all woodblock prints by Oda Kazuma.
