Mark of the fan, from the Genpei series, published by Taninaka Silk Editions in Kyoto on April 22nd 1985. Paper size: 62.5 x 47.8 cm. Number 2 from an edition of 185. Numbered and signed in pencil.
The first 10 copies (so nos. 1/185 - 10/185) of the first 12 designs were issued together in a cassette, and this cassette is offered as a whole. The listed price is for the whole cassette, so for the twelve prints together. I would prefer it to remain together as a set. See detail 1 for a survey of the cassette.

This is generally considered the best design from the series, and a.o. appears on the cover of Lawrence's Smith's Contemporary Japanese Prints: Symbols of a Society in Transition.
