Onchi, Kōshirō (1891 - 1955)
Obi (帯) - Sash Paper size: 25.2 x 33 cm. Printed in an edition of 100 in January 1930. Japanese sources also show that this was a special edition in which a woodblock print was juxtaposed with a poem by a famous contemporary poet, in this case Yoshii Isamu (1886-1960). This version is not illustrated in the big Onchi book (Onchi Kshir Hanga Sh - Prints of Onchi Koshiro), where two other versions are illustrated (#142 and #143).

Fine impression and colours, very good condition: silver in the horizontal stripes on the left, some traces of very light foxing. A print by Fujimori Shizuo (1891-1943) was reworked in a similar way, also juxtaposed with a poem, in this case one by the famous female poet Yosano Akiko (1878-1942). This print was published around the same time.
