An iconic print from the start of the Sōsaku Hanga movement, illustrated in every book about the movement. Striking are the viewpoint, the contrast between the massive, old bridge and the new bridge in the distance.

Fine impression and colours, acceptable condition: because the paper is really too thin for the size of the print, very many surviving copies show condition issues. Here most are limited to the corners and edges, which are brittle in places. The present copy is special because it is full-size. Cropping would have improved its appearance, but damaged its integrity.
