Asagiri - Morning mist Poetry and prints juxtaposed in two volumes. Published in 1912, complete in its cardboard box. Generally considered one of the best and most exciting books published in the early 20th century. Extensively discussed, in Jack Hillier's The Art of the Japanese Book a.o. Some 70 illustrations with fitting poems on the opposing pages.

Fine impressions and colours, good condition: though in all appearance a very fresh set, these volumes are still marked by some foxing. Of the 70 pages with illustrations some 43 are clean or practically clean, some 25 show several spots, and 2 pages are very foxed. Yet this is a set I can recommend (at about half the price a spotless set would command).
